Many Google services don’t seem to work due to authentication issues. This is evident from reports from users. Gmail and YouTube, among others, are currently not available. The outage appears to be global, but there is little information available.
The status page of Google Workspace has been showing a notification that services are not working since quarter past one. The Google Cloud dashboard does not report an outage. All Failures does show failures at Google, YouTube and Gmail. It seems that the Google services login tool is not working.
The outage started at one o’clock on Monday afternoon. The malfunction does not seem to affect Google’s search engine: it is still online. The outage also seems to affect services that use Google Cloud, such as Discord and Netflix, various report. Services seem to work when users don’t have to log in. Google spokesman Rachid Finge tells that he does not yet have any details about the malfunction.
Update 1 : It said the services are offline at first, but that’s not the case. However, logging in is impossible, so many services that rely on authentication do not work.
Update 2 : Many services are slowly coming back to users who want to log in.
