Apple Music has a strength that Spotify does not: Users willingness to pay

Spotify is one of the leading streaming platforms and this is due to a wide catalog that has served to innovate, establishing several benchmarks, however, Apple Music has become a platform with special strength.
  • The streaming market has become a leader, protecting millions of people amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • Music has established itself as a key content during this contingency.
  • Along with music, multimedia content such as videos play an indispensable role in today’s entertainment.

Music streaming has become an interesting offer in the midst of the contingency we face due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

This pandemic has forced the safeguard, which has evidently triggered the consumption of streaming content in music, video and podcasts, the latter being the great revelation in the industry.

The foregoing is due to the fact that this type of content has served to manage people’s talent in the midst of this contingency, which is why even Michelle Obama , the former lady of the United States, has surprised with her program within Spotify.

Despite this great commitment to the generation of content, Spotify  does not have the strength that Apple Music  does.

Within a study by Loup Ventures , Apple’s content platform grew 10 percent against Spotify’s  6 percent .

In one of the conclusions made by Gene Munster , manager at Loup Ventures, he assured that iOS users have more income, based on the insights of his study, to be able to pay a subscription compared to Android users, in addition to that Spotify  does have a free version of its service, considered this as another factor that has motivated the lower growth in subscriptions compared to Apple .

Regardless of which platform is listened to, streaming content has become a unique reference in the midst of this contingency in which the COVID-19  pandemic has led users to make a greater consumption of these with the help of headphones or wireless speakers that help you live the experience.
