CD Projekt RED provides first look at fixes patch 1.2 for Cyberpunk 2077

CD Projekt RED reveals what’s in the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 patch 1.2, yet to be released this month. Among other things, driving cars becomes more reliable and police no longer have to appear behind players out of nowhere.

The fact that the police no longer spawn behind players should “somewhat reduce the problem of NPCs appearing behind players” and “give the impression that the police really need some time to get to the scene.” Furthermore, from version 1.2, a drone will appear that should serve as a scout for the police.

Driving must be improved on several fronts from the new version. There will be a steering sensitivity slider that should give more precision to the steering without reaching the optimal turning circle. In addition, some code has been cleaned that made it difficult to adjust at low frame rates. Finally, it is also easier to free a car that is stuck: if you accelerate and the car does not move, there is the option to turn the car to the left or right and to tilt it forwards and backwards.

Finally , CDPR notes the ability to disable dodge on double-tap movement key . In certain cases, this would lead to unwanted diving behavior, resulting in falling from high places and death.

It is not yet clear when the update will be released. CD Projekt RED kept the second half of March as the release window and does not comment on that in these patch notes. The studio also has about a week and a half to fulfill the statement ‘the second half of March’. These patch notes do not reflect the full extent of the changes. CDPR announces on Twitter that the full patch notes will follow . The update is expected to be released simultaneously on all platforms.

Cyberpunk 2077 was released on December 10th and was criticized upon release for the bugs and performance issues in the game. All versions of the game suffer from such bugs, but the original PS4 and Xbox One had the most problems. The game has also been pulled from the PS Store and has not returned yet. It is also not known when that will happen.
